We wanted to be able to show how our shock-absorbers worked, so we took a couple of watches apart. Both were identical, except one had a cream dial and one had a black dial.
With the caseback and the glass removed, it was easy to push the movement holder in and out, backwards and forwards, and feel the gentle tension the bumpers hold it under.
(As well as being a great demonstration, everyone found it strangely relaxing, pushing the movement holder in and out...)
See the case on the left has got a black glass-seal? - that watch had the black dial.
We match the colour of the glass-seal to the dial colour and the case finish.
