A Busy Day

19 June 2013

A Busy Day

Today's our last working day before we head off to London for the watch show. It's the first show of its kind in the UK, and it's the event we've chosen to officially launch our watches, so everything's got to be on the button, inch-perfect, spot on, and every other cliche you can think of. So no pressure then.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

Time flies when you're having fun - it's already been a week since we headed off to the first London Watch Show. Doesn't feel like it.

We work in isolation and just make things we love and are proud of. But there's no-one to ask, no-one to reassure. So going to a show is like baring your soul to the world. Your tastes, your skills, your hopes. So it was truly humbling to have brands we've long-admired tell us they like what we're doing.

Straight after the wet pressure test, we heat them up to 45 degrees celcius then drop some water on the face to test if any condensation forms inside.`Only once they've passed do they progre...

Are We OCD?

Had an interesting conversation the other day. A brand with a modest goal

A brand with a modest goal

One of our stockists, Page and Cooper, asked us to send a watch over to Zach at Worn & Wound in the US for him to review.

Very flattering - Zach knows his stuff, and has reviewed lots of watches from brands we admire - Sinn, Damasko, Dievas - so we were curious to see what he'd make of our Canford.

As soon as we saw he'd written his review, we took the phones off the hook and sat down and read it top to bottom, a little nervously. Did he like it? Did he notice the little details we spent ages working on? Did he 'get' us?...

He got us, and liked the watch. We were delighted. Another humbling ...
